Perfect camp stove, packs up nice and neatly, lightweight, super versatile.
The design of the pots is fine and the size is perfect for 1-2 people. That said, I had to exchange for a new one a few times as they arrived with dents and dings. Plus they are a bit pricey. Otherwise, I'd give 5 stars.
This is a really handy set for backcountry canoe camping. Not ultralight, but lightweight enough and has a handy carry/stow pouch. I'm able to fit a stove, gas canister and other small items easily inside to keep our full meal kit in one place. Not non-stick, but great for boiling and warming up meals. Also handy to use as small mixing bowls (pancake mix, powered milk, etc), for dehydrating food that doesn't have it's own pouch and even fireside popcorn. The kit seems durable and I expected to get many years of use out of it.
I bought this set to replace the same set I bought nearly 30 years ago but lost when a friend borrowed them. I mostly car camp but they would also be fine for canoe camping or short hike ins if you don’t mind the slight weight gain over lighter alternatives. They definitely aren’t heavy though. They are extremely durable.
These were handy little pots for cooking for two. The lid / plate was really clever and useful, and the handle was easy to use. The set is also light so that’s a plus.
Simple set of sturdy, nesting, 'lightweight' pots. Working great so far, seem to be the perfect sizes for me (serves 1-3 people depending on the meal). The handle is easy to operate and feels good in the hand, even with gloves on. The included pullcord mesh storage bag is also great for keeping everything together. Overall nothing to complain about, just another solid product from MSR!
These are basic nesting pots, but light enough and tough. The lid fits either size, and the handle grip is easy to use. Thin bottoms, so prone to burning over high heat if the food isn’t mostly liquid (by that’s pretty standard to reduce the weight). I was able to nest a 1L kettle in the smaller pot. Bring a skillet and you are all set.
I like it a lot and I found it to be great value. The handle fits a bit awkwardly with the lid/pan but you get used to it after a few uses.
