The Cat’s Pajamas is a repro fabric based on jeans from the 1920’s. At 8.5oz, these are super-lightweight but ironically, back in the 20’s, they would have been considered heavyweight. Cat’s Pajamas is slang in the 20’s for a super-cool person or thing. Like, Fred Astaire is such a good dancer! He’s the Cat’s Pajamas! Or did you see these jeans? They’re the Cat’s Pajamas! And these jeans are the cat’s pajamas. They’re super-lightweight and breathable and vintage pioneer blue color is so cool. We also love the white selvedge ID and wetbark patch that pays homage to the original paper patches. In the 20’s they used reinforced paper instead of leather for the patches so this patch brings an extra level of authenticity to this repro denim. The Weird Guy is a regular tapered fit; medium rise, standard thigh and slight taper from the knee to hem.
