This is a really well made goretex shell, but the sleeves are really long, to the point of having to glue velcro patches to the underside of the sleeve ends to shorten them. Would give five stars otherwise.
I haven’t yet had the chance of trying this out in wet weather, since it’s been very dry for the past few months, but upon examination, it looks like it’s very well made. It does fit true to size, but, as others have mentioned, the sleeves are fairly long. I do believe that is by design, and you are meant to use the velcro straps to tighten them over gloves, or something similar.

I purchased this jacket after reviewing the company and various positive reviews. It does seem like a sturdy and durable jacket, yet it was not as lightweight and packable as I had hoped. I am 6' and 163 lbs and had purchased a medium. The sizing was appropriate and allowed for layering as one would imagine most would appreciate in a jacket like this. The big drawback for me, and why I returned it, was the arm length. I had read that the arms length ran quite long, but was surprised to see just how long that was. If you are someone who want the jacket fitting deep within your mitts or gloves this might be the product for you as I really had no other concerns. For me personally, however, it was a deal breaker. Thankfully with Altitude's superior return policy obtaining a free return label and refund was simple. Once again, it's why this is my go-to online outdoor clothing store.
Cet imperméable est un excellent choix. J’aime la qualité et la finition. Il est vrai que les manches sont un peu longues et le capuchon plus grand que la moyenne. Toutefois, je préfère le confort des manches comparativement au Arc’teryx (le poignet assymétrique). Et le capuchon est plus étroit et couvre mieux le visage. Il faut toutefois acheter une grandeur au dessus de votre grandeur habituelle (tel que recommandé par altitude sport). Le confort est extra et la coupe parfaite.
Really happy with this jacket. Top notch quality. Sleeves are very long. however.
Pretty solid jacket. A bit long in the arms for me and the wrist opens are a big bit and awkward for me. Haven't tested in rain (hasn't rained in Vancouver yet!).
Très beau manteau, je dirais qu’il s’agit d’un « petit medium » mais les manches sont type « large ».
Based on the reviews I made the mistake of ordering this jacket on line. As per reviews I ordered an extra large so that I could accommodate layering. This meant that the sleeves were exceptionally long but I had them tailored to the proper length. The hood is oversized to allow for a helmet but is almost useless unless you are actually wearing a helmet because it is oversized and falls down over your forehead. The brushed outer fabric may be more comfortable buy I purchase a light color and it began to show dirt discoloration around the sleeve cuffs within a couple of days of city use. I tried washing as per instructions but found that the dirt stain did not come out. There is no double zipper on the front so movement is restricted especially when you have a layer under it and are sitting in a vehicle. My wife found an Outdoor Research jacket for half the price with none of the issue stated above.
