I am using this with bike water bottles to be able to carry them in a bag. This cap has a rubber gasket to make a good seal. You can also screw the valve shut to stop water from the top and seal the bottle. The flow is a bit slow for a squeeze water bottle since I imagine it's more of a gravity water spout for an Ortlieb bladder.
