Lightweight and strong at the same time, big enough for all you need for a day trip in the mountains.

Even though this pack is ideally designed for climbers it works great as a day hiker and for BC skiing. I was smitten by it at the store due to it's light weight coupled with the heavy grade denier cloth. It would take a significant blow to damage the material. I also love the corn yellow. The Swiss wool concept works effectivley on the back pad and is comfortable. I am 6:1 with very long torso and the hip belt was positioned perfectly for me with top of belt being 1" inch above the top of my hip bone precisely where it should be.The pack has multiple features you can see on the Ortovox website video. The shoulder strap is ideal thickness for day jaunts. Not so thick it annoys my broken clavicle which juts out exaggeratedly. The circumferential side zipper is a great idea for a day pack and allows me to grab my binoculars without much fuss. Beautiful quality overall.
