Ortovox Switchback Ski Touring Backpack 27L

Highly technical, lightweight backpack for demanding ski tours.
Far & Light: Long ski tours in remote alpine terrain require an optimum balance of weight and function. The answer: The Switchback 27 is a technically sophisticated, minimalist ski touring backpack with alpine features. High performance for snow, ice and rock. One especially practical feature: Quick access to equipment. A shoulder pocket, a side compartment for crampons, climbing skins and ski crampons, and a rope can all be easily accessed without having to remove the backpack. A carabiner can also be used to attach skis parallel to the backpack while it is being worn. The main compartment and the integrated safety compartment with a holder for shovel and probe can be accessed via a zipper on the back. A large, separate compartment provides additional space in the upper part of the Switchback 27. Two ice axe holders, two daisy chains, a rope attachment and a helmet net complement the versatile attachment options. When heavily loaded, the ergonomic Full Contact Light Back System distributes the load optimally across the back. If the backpack is not too full, the volume can be effectively reduced using the A-Skifix 3-point compression straps. Low weight, maximum function.
