  I've heard great things about this piece of kit and so far it's living up to its reputation. I like the fit, and especially recommend opting for this version with the hood (very handy), as opposed to the jacket version. In fall conditions it keeps you warm once you start moving (as a standalone piece), and regulates heat as you would expect. Looking forward to testing it further during the colder months, under a shell.

  Very beautiful, and for the quality, it's as expected, very soft and comfortable. We love it very much but weirdly, the hood part was a big large/loose, don't know how to describe it.

  Great layering piece

  Splurged for a late April hike layering piece, very comfortable and breathable but warm. True to size and the zip/hoody has good coverage so no wind comes in your neck.

  Very comfy on the skin. Extra warm mid layer that performs very well when working hard in the outdoors. When sweating with multiple layers the R1 Air stays dry and works as an incredible wicking layer. Haven’t found a fleece that’s a better all rounder.

  I’ve had an older black Patagonia fleece zip-up for nearly 20 years. Still in great shape. This zip-up hoody is of similar top notch quality. Great materials and workmanship. The garment is just the right weight - heavier than micro fleece but not as heavy fleece+polyester jackets or cotton+polyester hoodies. The first of size XL is perfect for me - male, 6 ft, 210 lbs with some roundness around the middle. I expect this garment to last 10 or more years. Highly recommended.

  Ma couche isolante intermédiaire préférée

  Voilà, le troisième chandail de la famille R1 air que j’achète. Je trouve que c’est la couche intermédiaire parfaite. Personnellement, quand je fais une activité physique dehors, j’ai chaud, et cette couche me protège du climat tout en me laissant transpirer à fond. J’ai choisi la version avec capuchon pour le nouveau venu. Généralement, j’aime mieux sans mais ca me fera un petit plus pour les oreilles quand il vente trop.

  I’ve been eeying this one for a while. It’s not cheap but such a great looking vest. I havent had the time to fully test it out yet (i am going to use it while ascending when Touring) but so far it’s delivered during a jog in the cold. Very breathable yet warm. I highly recommend this vest.
