On my canoe trips the Platypus GravityWorks filter are the preferred choice for everyone. Dependable, fast and easy to use. I don't know of a better system for canoe trips.

Has worked great for several backpacking trips. We did have one site where the water we collected was yellow and it ran yellow through the filter. Had to look it up before we were willing to drink it.

We are very excited to take this filter into the backcountry. We have tested it at home and are very happy with it. Being able to hang a filter and not hand pump is very appealing after a long day of hiking.

The GravityWorks 4L is so easy to use, never clogs though you do have to learn the backfill technique which is quick, and the second bag for your clean water means that you can filter water and have some waiting for you when you need it. This is our second system after our first finally gave out after years of hard use. We got talked into a MSR system for a brief period this summer and I can attest to it not being half as good, clogged, no secondary clean water bag included. GravityWorks 4L for the win!
