My favourite winter jacket ever
I have worn this jacket an entire winter season in Southern Quebec and I'm happy! I find it's perfect for walking my dog between 5C and -25C. For 0-5C, I wear a light shirt or t-shirt underneath and then for -20C type weather, I'll wear a base layer and something on top. The material breathes extremely well, the yellow is beautiful (and people complained about seeing the feathers. . . Yes, you can see them a LITTLE on the arms but it's nothing really). I've washed the jacket with Granger's a few times and it comes out great. The hood is perfect and when you zip it up, you don't need a scarf. I love that the cuffs are tapered and slightly stretchy, even if it means my gloves all go over the jacket instead of inside. Good side pockets. I do kind of wish there were vents in the armpits but given the breathability, it's not a big deal. I genuinely loved wearing it all winter and parts of fall and spring. I loved it so much, my boyfriend bought one for himself! I mostly used it for walking my dog and running errands but I used it for snowshoeing too. When it got too warm during the snowshoeing adventures, it packs up nice and small in my backpack.
