Red Wing Rocks!
The Red Wing 6-inch Classic Moc in Briar Oil Slick leather is an absolutely gorgeous boot. This is my third pair of Red Wings, and they continue to impress me every time. The Briar Oil Slick leather has a rich, beautiful color with plenty of character that only gets better with age. The craftsmanship and build quality are outstanding. From the sturdy stitching to the durable sole, these boots feel like they are built to last for many years. I recommend going down half a size. I normally wear size 12 sneakers, but all my Red Wing boots fit perfectly in size 11.5, with plenty of room to wiggle my toes, even when wearing thicker socks. Comfort-wise, it's important to understand that Red Wings require a break-in period. For the first few weeks of regular wear, they can feel a little stiff, but that's completely normal. As you wear them, the leather gradually molds to the shape of your feet, creating a custom fit that becomes incredibly comfortable. Once they're broken in, they are a joy to wear all day. The effort and patience required during the break-in process are absolutely worth it. The combination of exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, timeless styling, and long-term comfort keeps me coming back to Red Wing again and again. If you're considering a pair, don't be discouraged by the break-in period. Stick with it, and you'll be rewarded with one of the most comfortable and best-built boots you can own. Highly recommended!
