Not a blanket in any real sense. This thing is tiny. If it's on your shoulders, it won't reach your waist. It's lightweight and it packs down small, but if you plan to sleep when travelling, it will not work for you. By "travel" blanket, Rumpl means it's a lap blanket for an airplane. It's not something to use for rest when you're on the road. This item is comically small, and the manufacturer stands by it. I would not buy it again.

I wanted a small(ish) lightweight blanket that I could throw in my overnight bag and use at a cottage or while sitting outdoors in the evening. This travel blanket doesn't disappoint with its surprising warmth and portability. It easily compresses into the waterbottle-sized stuff sack but don't misplace the sack since it isn't attached or part of the blanket and therefore be misplaced. I particularly like the cape clip so the blanket drapes over your shoulders to keep you warm while giving you the freedom to use your arms. It washes easily and seems to be made of durable soft material. I'm 5'9" and the blanket covers me nicely when I've used it as a top cover for sleeping.

We are taking planes and trains to Switzerland and this seems to be a good size. Can also use it for a small picnic blanket. It has the cap clasp too. I can't wait to use it!
