  Even the wide size is too narrow. It does look nice and seems like it would be a reliable hiking shoe, tho it would probably overheat my feet quite fast

  Bought to replace Wildcross

  Salomon seems to have discontinued the Wildcross, which was my favourite trail runner, so I bought these to replace them. The jury is still out: the regular version fits a bit smaller and narrower but the wide version was too wide. Bring back the Wildcross!

  Great Fit, Comfortable All Day, and Stylish

  These shoes look great and feel very well made. The wide width fits me perfectly, which is not always easy to find in trail or walking shoes. The OrthoLite insole makes them comfortable and helps me walk all day comfortably. The shoe feels supportive and stable on different surfaces without being too stiff. I also like that the design looks sporty but still clean enough for casual use. The GORE-TEX feature is a nice bonus for wet weather and travel. Overall, I’m very happy with the fit, comfort, and style.

  I have size 14 wide, so always buy a pair of these great trail walking/running shoes when they are available (my size sells out quickly).

  Stable and Durable Trail Shoes

  The Salomon XA Pro 3D V9 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes (Wide) are very reliable trail shoes with excellent stability and protection. The 3D Advanced Chassis provides strong support on uneven terrain, while the Contagrip outsole delivers great traction on rocks, dirt, and wet surfaces. The GORE-TEX membrane also keeps feet dry in rain and muddy conditions. The Quicklace system is convenient and allows fast adjustments, and the build quality feels durable and ready for tough trails. However, even in the Wide version, the shoes still feel narrow along most of the length, especially through the midfoot and toe area. People with very wide feet may still find the fit tight. Overall, they are stable, protective, and dependable trail shoes.

  Nice to see Salomon offers wider shoes. although not super wide, it does fit my husband’s very wide feet
