Solid but heavy
This is a high-quality frying pan but it's heavy. Would only recommend if you need heavy use and are car camping. If not, the slightly smaller and lighter Sea to Summit non-stick frying pan is the better choice.

We were looking for a replacement of our (poorly built) frying pan for our (numerous) camping trips, and this shall be it. It is very well made, with quality steel material, heats up quickly, very stable on the camping burner, cleans easily. It is rather on the heavy side, not planned for our days long hiking or skiing trips, but perfect for any other adventure.

This thing has some heft to it. Too much for backpacking, but it's intended for car camping anyway. It has a nice flat base for camping stoves and fits a big meal for two with ease. Recommended.

The latch mechanism is neat but feels flimsy. If I had a pan full of stuff then I'd worry its not too stable!

If it’s on sale it’s a good pan, high quality, very thick bottom, will test it out this summer while canoe camping, bit of a heavy sacrifice to bring while backpacking though
