Great back for first day of school! 10l is too small. 29 is too big. This is perfect for a tall 4 year old.

I bought this to replace The North Face Youth Recon Squash 17L after 5 years of school use. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the Mini Recon for two main reasons. First, it only has one large compartment and lacks a smaller secondary zippered area for items like keys and pencils. Second, it doesn't have a sternum or waist strap. For the price, I expected these features to be included in a pack from The North Face.

My daughter is happy with her new school bag. It fits her school stuff and lunch box. It is a light weight backpack and perfect size for almost 7 years old. Two side pockets are great for a water bottle, thermos, etc. . My son who is 9 has a black one and takes it when he travels.

The bag is perfect size for my Grade 1. The color is bright. I just hope there are more pockets inside the main compartment.

Daughter loved this backpack. Unique color, very light, and durable. Perfect for putting a few binders and pencil case. Not too big not too small. Just a perfect size. Comfy on the shoulders too! Highly recommended.
