Switched from a regular tarp to this for Stormbreak 3 this summer. It was such a nice upgrade, especially for camping in the rain/wet terrain. It fitted the tent floor and corner stakes well, and it kept ground moisture blocked out. It's ideal for anyone with a Stormbreak 3 who wants hassle-free weather protection and a bit of extra durability.
We chose the Stormbreak 3 largely for its double-backbone frame, rather than the single-backbone/double-wishbone design found on some comparable NEMO tents. We wanted the extra rigidity for camping on exposed rock where the tent sometimes needs to be fully self-supporting. It lived up to expectations and performed reasonably well in moderate winds. The four side pockets are useful, although a top gear pocket would be cream. The matching colour coding on the fly and footprint is also a small but genuinely helpful feature during setup. Overall, a simple, sturdy tent that does what we bought it to do.

Arrived in short order and was the best price in the market. The color-coded tabs make it easy to set up with the tent, even in the dark. Would have liked the fabric to be a little thicker to add extra protection.

Perfect size, keeps your tent dry and safe
I’ve had 3 The North Face tents, I have always made ground sheets (to size) from tarps, but never again. The ground sheets may have some weight to it but it is a protective layer. The fact that grommets fit the tent poles means you can actually pick up and “shift” your tent to a better position quicker and easier. Well worth the money.
