amazing shoe, great grip, I find it more breathable or comfortable than goretex. The only difference is a slight tightness in the toebox that is not there with a model that is not waterproof. Nevertheless, great model!
I ordered my normal size and it was too snug. I do like that they are made with a Vibram sole that can be resoled (according to my local cobbler).
Although they are a trail runner, I use them as a daily walking shoe. Get grip and fit if you like room for your toes.
With the move toward more natural footwear, my Salomon XA Pro 3D V8 Trail Running Shoes (my main hiking shoe) were feeling a bit tight in the front. These Topo shoes are super-comfortable that allow good toe movement. The zero drop will take some getting used to, as will the lower heel cup. Hopefully my heel doesn't slip. They don't seem as hot as the Salomon, either. if I have an opportunity to add to the review after more use, will do so.
The Topo Athletic Terraventure 4 Waterproof is an incredibly well made shoe. The comfy fit and Vibram sole are the highlights for me. As a canoe tripper and hiker, having a stable shoe with a reliable tread grip is very important. The insoles remove on those wet days for drying and cleaning. Highly recommended for outdoor adventure in Ontario, Canada.
Very well made and good fit. Nice lateral support with excellent traction.
Bought a 12, and they fit perfectly. I have flat feet, and the width/length is just right. I usually do an EE for Hoka shoes, but don't require the extra width for this shoe. Did a short walk, and they're very comfortable. Haven't tested the waterproof feature yet. Plan to use them for my next Camino.
These are good but not as wide or comfortable in the toe box as the topo phantoms I have.
