    Tubbs Mountaineer 36"

I have a pair of these at home and I have just bought a second pair for use at the cottage. The Mountaineer 36” snowshoe is a very good shoe for breaking trails and deep snow. The harness is perhaps the best aspect of this product, easy to get on and off and holds the shoe very securely. It can accept a wide variety and size of winter boots.

    Needed something a little sportier

I have a good pair of snowshoes already but they are more for working and not so fun for long trips. These seem to satisfy my recreational need. They are easy to get on and off . The bindings are a great design but I do wish they took a wider boot. The crampons have bite which is good because we have a lot of ice this year. The length and width are good for me. I don't have to walk with my feet spread out like my other pair. Very light. It was impressive how you barely feel them. I also weight 225lbs and they handle my weight just fine. I would give five stars but the binding not taking a wider boot is an minus and my only real issue.

    Excellente raquette

Bonne fixation, raquette solide, les attaches de tamis sont accrochants et déchirés avec les crampons

    Big improvement

I have a previous version of these snowshoes and these are a nice improvement. The frame and deck are nearly identical to my 10 year old Tubbs, but there are more and more aggressive teeth on the bottom, there's a heel stand, and the new binding are so much easier to use (the reason I bought these). Easy on, easy off, easy adjustment. My 11.5 winter boots fit no problem and while I got these before the snow has come they are the same size as my other Tubbs so they will hold my weight (195 lb with no gear) in very powdery snow no problem. Yes, at 36 inches they are long but I am using them in deep powder conditions so they are perfect for that.

    Tubbs Mountaineer Snowshoes

I have three pairs of these (25/30/36) for different conditions, and they are excellent snowshoes. Well worth the price for the better features, especially the ActiveFit bindings, which for ease of use, comfort, and stability are the best design available. I have a slight preference for the toe strap cinch mechanism on the original ActiveFit versus the new 2.0, but it's a minor issue and I can see why the change was made (replaceable strap). If they are on sale, buy a pair!

    Tubbs snowshoes

Pretty happy with them. Have used them in the bush a bit and on lake / shoreline. Roughly 2 to 3 feet of snow and and they were better then without. Still sink down a bit but happy with how they worked. Pretty easy to walk in also.

    daily user

I am retired senior. Purchased these 3yrs ago. Live in rural area next to forested mtn in BC. Snowshoe almost every day for 1-2 hrs. These are the best I've ever had for deep soft snow. Excellent product with good bindings.

    Good Snowshoe and Harness

To me, the harness is the most important part of the snowshoe and this shoe has a very good one. It locks quite nicely and is secure and comfortable on the foot. It gives you very good control of the snowshoes. The shoes have aggressive traction cleats that work well on hard slopes and yet do not impede normal stride.
