  It's too heavy for backpacking but it's great for car camping and maybe day hikes. The burr is basically the same as the Timemore C3 so you could get the latter if you want to save some money. This one is more portable tho.

  Excellent Grinder

  I love this grinder. It's well built and all metal. Lots of grind adjustment. Best of all is the upper "bearing" keeps grinder burrs from drifting off. This makes for a nice uniform grind size. I use it as my daily grinder and it's small enough for car camping. If you're a gram counter it has some heft. I would recommend this for sure.

  Good value for a manual grinder with premium performance

  Performs as expected (was looking to get a manual grinder with premium performance without breaking the bank). I wanted something compact enough to pack with me. It is not ultra compact, but It seems solidly built…time will tell how durable it will be. Mine shipped with the packaging all broken apart, so the grinder itself had been bashing around the outer shipping box. This was either cheap packaging (the unit is substantial), or yet another experience I have had where Altitude Sports shipped an open-box or returned item without examining carefully. Nevertheless, the grinder survived.

  Les pièces sont d’excellente qualité. Je suis très satisfaite de mon café moulu. Le moulin est plus lourd que j’aurais souhaité pour l’apporter en longue randonnée mais je ne regrette pas mon achat.

  Great coffee grinder for the backcountry

  This coffee grinder is built like a thank, you can stuff it in your backpack without any fear of damaging it. It’s built like a tank. It’s far from a light weight item, to be honest no one that brings a coffee grincer into the backcountry would call himself an ultra light hiker. It’s definitely a luxury item, but if you like good coffee, this is the ultimate backcountry coffee grinder, a perfect companion to a aeropress.

  The perfect travel-size coffee grinder

  The VSSL coffee grinder is a quality product that is all metal construction and built to last. Although it is designed to only grind about 10g of coffee at a time, the process is quick and enjoyable due to its size and balanced weight. Used in combination with an Aeropress, this is truly the perfect travel size coffee grinder.
