  I use this twice a year. It keeps my Barbour jacket well coated. Looks like a new jacket every time! :)

  Thornproof dressing

  The can is pretty small for the price, but it is ‘Barbour’. Wonder if there is an alternative? It did do a really good job on a vintage hood for my new Beaufort. Follow the instructions from Barbour and all will be well. Four stars and not five because of the price.

  First time waxing

  Worked very well on my Barbour jacket. I just followed some YouTube video instructions and it worked out fine.

  Nicely packaged wax can

  If you are waxing your whole coat for the first time, I'd recommend purchasing 2 cans. If you are "re-waxing" your coat, then 1 can is enough.

  Not truly thornproof

  I covered myself head to toe in this wax and ran through a field of wild English roses. It did NOT work as advertised.

  Wanted to have this on hand for my jackets- I saw a jacket redone with different wax and it was awful. This is the only way to go! Read / look at youtube vids for advice.

  Waterproofing your Barbour jacket

  Excellent product, a bit pricey but goes a long way. Keeps your jacket weatherproof, softer, and looks more worn-in.

  Barbour Thornproof Wax

  The item is time tested and true. Availability can be an issue and costs, like many have increased dramatically. Having a tin or 2 in reserve is not a bad idea. Product applies easily, take your time and prepare the work area, can be a bit messy. Access to hot water to keep the wax liquid is essential
