Bought this for a short one-night hiking trip to the backcountry (Hemenway Lake) in the autumn. Overnight low was plus 1. Paired with my R4 sleeping mat and my warm sleep clothing, I was comfortable through the night. Compresses down pretty well in my pack. Not cutting edge technology, but a very good balance between function and price (imo).
I haven't had a chance to use this camping yet, but I'm impressed at how this bag is compact and lightweight. Taking off one star because the bag doesn't appear to come with a bigger storage bag (just a stuff sack).
This is my second one purchased. This sleeping bag has been a proven asset for my backcountry camping trips. Compressed well and fits nicely inside my backpack. Well made and keeps me warm in cooler mountain summers into early Fall.
Used this on a 10-day trip through the Rockies this summer. As a beginner camper, this served me well. Very comfortable, kept me warm at higher elevations, roomy enough to not feel like a sarcophagus. I know it isn't the lightest, but at this price point, it was well worth it.
I liked it. It kept me worm in -2C.
This bag looks excellent and I was comfortable when I climbed inside. I haven't gone camping with it yet. Zippers and sleeping bag shape seem to have come a long way in the last 20-ish years. Decent room to roll over and side sleep if that's your preference (I am 5' 9" and 185 lbs).
