It’s thick and shiny skin is made of a 900-denier polyester ripstop, which is coated with a TPU-film laminate and has a durable water-repellent finish. The main compartment is accessible via the zippered U-shaped lid, which has a pair of zippered mesh pockets on the underside for small items. A zippered side pocket can hold essentials, and when not hauling gear, the Black Hole 60L duffel packs into this pocket for a streamlined travelling option. The ruggedly padded bottom gives this duffel a bit of structure, and four daisy chains allow additional gear to be strapped to the outside. Hard-wearing webbed handles with snap closures and haul loops make hand carrying easy, while a padded and fully removable shoulder strap allows for efficient over-the-shoulder hauling.
