I was trying to choose between two Patagonia rain jackets: Boulder fork and Torrentshell. Boulder fork costs 60$ more but has a more premium feel (less rigid shell and softer inside layer). It also has a chest pocket. Both jackets would be a good choice in terms of breathability and waterproofing. Size L felt too bulky for me.
C'est mon premier Patagonia et je suis comblé. Je l'ai acheté pour me protéger de la pluie lors de randonnée. Je viens de le tester lors d'une sortie de 5h sous la pluie et il m'a gardé au sec. Le manteau est très bien conçu, avec des poches situées plus haut que d'habitude - détail important lorsqu'on porte un sac avec une ceinture qui s'attache près de la taille. Je mesure 1m83 et je porte généralement du Medium - la taille Medium du Patagonia me va parfaitement.

The jacket is high quality and seems like it will hold up to harsh conditions. The grey is very minimal and doesn’t stick out in the city like many other raincoats do. It doesn’t have extra features, just the essentials, and the pockets are a bit higher than usual. I’ll be taking this on a multi-day canoe trip this summer. There is enough room to layer and it’s very light and packable!
