They're made from a performance blend of 96% nylon and 4% spandex with a DWR coating and weave that delivers 50+ UPF sun protection. They have a single rubber button flat-lying fly, which is optimized for comfort while paddling into waves. The contoured, self-lined waistband offers a secure and comfortable fit against the hips and fastens with a durable bartacked ladderlock drawstring. Patagonia equipped these boardshorts with a self-draining right-hip pocket, which has a corrosion-proof plastic zipper, an inner key loop and doubles as a self-storage pouch. These surf-inspired swim trunks are also Fair Trade Certified™ sewn, meaning Patagonia paid premium wages to the people who stitched them.
