Snow sticks to the coat and its not very warm.
Snow sticks to the coat making it soaking wet after about 2 minutes. Its also not very warm.

It is a beautiful coat for men, the quality is higher than expected and colour is same as pictured. I bought it for my father but it was returned, the only reason it was returned is due to the slimmer straight fit, if you have a bigger belly or tummy region, it might be tight or uncomfortable to sit in.

This parka is well-made, as one would expect for the price, warm and fits nicely. The fit is slim and attractive. The hood works nicely and pockets are well-placed. Canadian-made is a plus. This parka should hold up for many years.

Quartz Co. seems to be consistent in their fit description. For reference, I'm 6'0", 175 lb. slim frame and 34" sleeve length; I'm a small in their relaxed fit (Churchill), a medium in their semi-slim fit (Sirius) and a large in their slim fit (this coat). I ordered this parka in the Chesnut color and it is beautiful. The colour is not a dark brown, but more closer to the tan shade of brown in pictures 2-6. This parka exudes quality: the exterior shell material is smooth and waterproof, the down pillows are airy and even distributed throughout the jacket. I tried on the jacket while wearing a light sweater in -15C windy weather and felt comfortable, not cold and not overheated. The fleece-lined pockets are very cozy, and the fur ruff is full. The inner drawstring works wonders if you like a snugger fit without giving you an hourglass figure. The single inner pocket was large enough to store a large phone. So why did I return it? The hood. I was willing to forgive the fact that there was no down insulation in the hood. Unfortunately, I found that the hood was not tall enough for my head. No matter how tight or lose I pulled on the drawstring to adjust it, the hood applied a constant pressure on the back of my head. Will you have this problem? Maybe not. Don't let this one critique stop you from ordering this parka! Also, not a deal-breaker, but I will say that I was disappointed that the parka did not come with a coat hanger or garment bag. Would I buy from Altitude Sports? YES! The jacket arrived in one day. After a few weeks of deciding if I was willing to live with the hood, and finally deciding to return it, the refund process could not have been easier. I packed it up with the pre-printed label, dropped it off at FedEx, and a full refund was processed to my PayPal account in less than 24 hours.

I purchased this jacket with high hopes based on the reviews but was left disappointed that the manufacturer didn't think of several important features that should've been added to a $800-$1000 jacket (depending on if you buy on sale or not). Pros- jacket is very warm with good warm pockets even though the zipped pockets couldn't be used as hand warmers due to them being too low for my hands to reach comfortably. The store cuffs are also nice and don't allow air to go towards the arms. Cons - The hood is pretty useless as it has no insulation built in. Secondly, the fur is attached with buttons which makes air cross through and also unbuttons itself if it gets caught up in a bag strap or something. The neck lining also is simply the Cambridge fabric with no velcro or soft to touch material which makes it uncomfortable for such an expensive jacket. One inner pocket should also not be the standard as most jackets these days have 2 or more inner pockets. The zip is also sub par for such a highly priced product as other reviewers have mentioned.

Très bon parka pour remplacer mon Kanuk que j'avais depuis plusieurs années. La coupe est plus svelte. J'ai acheté un xl et la longueur de bras est parfaite pour une personne qui a besoin de manche plus longue 34-35''. Un des avantages de ce manteau, il possède un élastique à la taille qu'on peut adapter comme on veut. J'ai acheté ce parka parce que les manches étaient plus longues que d'autres produits similaires.

Amazing parka, keeps me comfortable on my 20-minute walk to and from work everyday. I've used this in dry -25 C weather in Calgary, icy conditions in Banff, and snowy conditions in Montreal and it holds up great. It doesn't feel heavy on the shoulders, and it's nice and slim without compromising on warmth. The hood also keep my ears very well protected and warm without giving me hat hair. I no longer feel like the tips of my ears are going to fall off when it dips below -10. Contrary to some other reviews on here, I find the zipper to be great. Perhaps they listened and improved the design from previous versions. It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, it's just as quick to zip up. It's convenient if you want to reach for something in your pants pockets too. And on the topic of pockets, my only gripe with this product is the lack of inside pockets. There's just one on the left side and that can be pretty annoying at times. I like to keep my phone, earphones, and wallet in those pockets because it's easier to retrieve them without unzipping the jacket. I stuff my gloves in there as well when I get inside. So only having one means I can pretty much only put my phone in there and the rest goes in the exterior pockets.
