Got this as a waterproof walking shoe option for someone with size 5 feet. Got 5.5. Has a good grip but lighter than a hiking shoe.

Bought these for my girlfriend on a whim after watching her try on about a dozen or so different models/sizes in stores in a desperate attempt to replace an old pair of Salomons. Perfect fit and nice style, more comfortable and don't look as clunky as some other trail/winter shoes such as the Hoka Speedgoat that I ordered/returned at the same time. She usually wears a 7 1/2 but since these were going to be worn with heavier wool socks we went with a size 8.

I own a pair of Peregrine 10 GTX shoes and when they recently started showing signs of wear, I anxiously started looking for an identical replacement. I bought this pair of Peregrine 11 GTX. The toebox appears slightly narrower, which in my case, is not an issue. I cannot speak for the comfort of the original insole, but with my own orthopedic insoles, just as the Peregrine 10 left my feet happy and unblistered for 16 km hikes, these are faring just as well. I am totally satisfied with the look of my Peregrine 11. Roomy inside (size 9), integrating my orthopedic insoles as if they were designed to fit together and not bulky from the outside. What more would one ask for? Choices of color for people who care about color matching their outfits... It is dismal and at least a few more color options would me appreciated. Otherwise, use merino socks, put your Peregrine11GTX shoes on and never suffer from sore feet for your long hikes.

These are a great shoe, I’ve wore previous models and loved them. The gtx is durable, and the traction is perfect for wet trails. The only downside is I found the toebox on this model narrower than previous.
