Exactly what I need for my back and easy to roll up and stash in my bag. I use it everywhere - in the car, plane, subway, restaurant, you name it - wherever I find back-killing chairs.

I bought this as a travel pillow thinking it would be compact or at least would pack down for storage in my backpack. It is supposed to auto inflate but I did find much difference before and after. It is not soft and seems large for a lumbar meant for travel.

This is the 2nd thermarest lumbar pillow I have bought, this one as a present to my wife. It works great as a lumbar support as it is infinitely adjustable in thickness, but it has many other uses: you can sit on it on long flights when the plane has one of these new rock-hard seats as it is very sturdy, or you can use it to puff up your pillow when you get one of these flat things at a hotel. I don't travel without it. My own original lumbar pillow is now over 15 years old and still, works just fine.

Packs down about as small as any lumbar pillow can. Good and durable, within reason. I've never damaged one - I just keep losing them eventually. i've had other fabric covered ones that get filthy in a work/travel environment. This one doesn't pick up much at all, and can easily be cleaned. You don't need to inflate it much at all, just an inch or so of thickness is perfect support for me. Only drawback I can think of is it can be a bit slippery if using a leather style chair etc. The older ones seemed to take longer to self-inflate; the most recent one I purchased seems to self inflate quicker. I avoid blowing it up by blowing into it to prevent moisture getting inside. This has performed better, and lasted longer than all the specialized name brand lumbar cushions I've tried.

Great lumbar inflatable back support. Keep in the vehicle and inflate it so it’s just perfect and your ready for a comfortable long road trip. Use it as pillow, seat cushion, between the knees or for kneeling pad. I own several of these and wouldn’t be without.

Purchased this to help my lower back on long flights. It self-inflates nicely and conveniently, but it’s a bit bulky when deflated due to the inner foam, and unfortunately doesn’t come with any kind of carrying case (built-in or otherwise) to help make it convenient for travel, unlike most camping pillows or sleeping pads I have owned. The edges are also a bit plastic and rough, if it comes into contact with your arms.

Bought two of these for long car trips but they are multipurpose and can even be used as small seat cushions when camping. Vertically or horizontally, they provide good back support in the car. Self-inflating and easy to adjust. Lightweight and super easy-to-stow. Look quite sturdy. Recommend.
