Hey Gavin, the Ventrix is actually insulated with 100% polyester Ventrix™ stretch synthetic insulation so no down is used. For yourself, a light softshell or garment insulated with Polartec® Alpha® insulation may be a good option. Both provide optimal breathability. I run hoooooot and would never consider touring in down – ideal for transitions etc but not for moving. Cheers, Gavin

While both jacket are made to withstand a wide range of weathers and to keeps you warm, the Ventrix is designed to be more ventilate. It’s good breathability makes it perfect for aerobic activity.
