The Great Northern Bikepacking Route crosses Canada on a mix of all types of backcountry roads and trails. The Taiga EXP was the bike of choice for Mat and Ali @trip.longer, who were among the first to complete this adventure in 2024.
Features
• Based on our Taïga mountain bike, the geometry is adapted to be specific to a dropbar usage and is developed for stability and comfort. The front triangle also offers a larger opening for a bigger frame bag
• Frame made with a bespoke selection of Reynolds 725 tubes. Tubes are thinned in the right places to provide the comfort and enjoyment of riding a steel frame without the extra weight
• Adjustable sliding dropouts which are ideal for adapting the ride feel of the bike, or for use in single speed configuration or with a Rohloff hub
• Tapered head tube and carbon fork of an equivalent length to a 100mm suspension fork
• Ready to be equipped for a short or long bikepacking outing with its many mounts: Triple mounts on downtube, double mounts on seat tube, cargo cages on the carbon fork, top tube bag and rear rack mounts
• The internal surface of the frame is treated by electrodeposition. This additional step in the finishing of the frame helps to ensure better protection against corrosion
• The frame has generous clearance to accommodate 29"x2.6" tires
• The fork is designed for use with a dynamo hub. A mounting point on the front of the fork is also present to secure a light
• The opening in the rear triangle allows the installation of a belt to adapt the bike to this type of silent and maintenance-free transmission
• Version 2 of the Taïga EXP has been redesigned to use flat-mount brakes standard
• Seat tube opening in order to accommodate internal cable routing for an adjustable seat post.

How to build your bike
• The bike is completely assembled and adjusted before shipping. The front wheel, handlebar, and seat post are removed for easier transportation. You will simply have to screw them in place.
